Cagayan de Oro City_De- spite criticism from both the private and public sectors, the Cagayan de Oro Police Office remains steadfast in its anti-criminality drives.
In his message to media practitioners in a press conference Friday, City Director P/Col Salvador Radam reported that in their relentless campaigns against illegal drugs, they have made major achievements that have significantly reduced the proliferation of this menace to society.

Col. Radam said that multi-millon pesos worth of illicit drugs have been confiscated and that high value targeted personalities have been arrested and cases have been filed accordingly.
"There also has been a drastic reduction of index crimes due to our prompt and decisive approaches. Constant monitoring and case build-ups have greatly contributed to our successful operations, "added Radam.
Referring to cases involving minors, especially in sexual exploitation and trafficking, the city's police chief reiterated his office's firm commitment to prevent and apprehend offenders and rescue victims.
"As our very valuable partners, we acknowledge the contributions of the Fourth Estate in the dissemination of information, particularly the accomplishments of our office. We always welcome your inputs and even criticism with an open heart. We will always be grateful to you for your untiring efforts in covering our operations so that the Kagay-anons will know that we are doing everything for the sake of peace and public safety,"added Radam.
