Mayor Klarex Leads Opening Of One Heart Treatment Hub

December 4, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy Thursday formally opened to the public the One Heart Treatment Hub at the J. R. Borja General Hospital with Department of Health officials and local government stakeholders.

The One Heart Treatment Hub, a Philhealth - accredited facility, is giving comprehensive medical services like HIV testing, psychosocial counseling,

antiretroviral drugs (ARD) and monitoring of patients against HIV /AIDS, all free of charge.

According to Dr. Michael June C. Perez, Chief of Hospital, the One Heart Treatment Hub is one of four HIV treatment facilities in the city's hospitals which give free services to patients.

The opening of the One Heart Treatment Hub also coincides with the commemoration of World Aids Day, a global campaign to strengthen empathy, education and unity in combating this dreaded disease.
