PCOL JOVIT L CULAWAY, OIC Buk PPO reported to Regional Director PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG, JR regarding the arrest of illegal drug suspects at 12:12 PM of November 9, 2023. Personnel of Valencia CPS led by PLTCOL MITCHEL C CLEMENCIO, OIC conducted buy-bust operation at Homestead Inn, Purok-4, Barangay Maapag, Valencia City Bukidnon that resulted in the arrest of the following: a.) alias Paro Jay, 44 years old, married, laborer, (Newly Identified) and a resident of P4, Maapag, Valencia City, Bukidnon; b.) 28 years old, single, farmer, (Newly Identified) and a resident of P2, Lumbo, Valencia City, Bukidnon and c.) 21 years old, single, CAFGU, (Newly Identified) and a resident of Purok Mabuhay, Salawagan, Quezon, Bukidnon.
Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation were the following; a.)one (1) piece small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu; b.)Two (2) pieces big heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet in different shapes containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu and c.)P1000.00 bill. The estimated total weight of purchased/seized shabu is more or less 10.2 gram with standard drug price worth Php 69,360.00. A case for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of R.A. No. 9165 were prepared by against the arrested suspects. Confiscated drug items were brought to Provincial Forensic Unit 10 for qualitative and quantitative examinations. The OIC expressed his compliment to the responding PNP personnel for a job well done. He also added that President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr expressed his strong commitment to continue the war on drugs with the framework of the law and with respect to human rights and focus on rehabilitation and socioeconomic development.
