Mis Or PDRRMO, Well-Equipped and Extremely Ready

Cagayan de Oro City, June 3, 2024_"We are very ready in case disaster strikes in our area," thus declared Fernando "Sotsot" Dy, Misamis Oriental's Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer or PDRRMO.
Dy said that with the threat of La Niña phenomenon, the PDRRMO has, with the full support of Governor Peter Unabia as the head of the provincial disaster risk reduction council, conducted trainings of municipal responders.
He added that in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas, emergency equipment like early warning devices, ropes, earth-moving vehicles and other life and property saving measures are in place and ready for deployment anytime.
Dy also acknowledged the full support of other government agencies like the Department of Public Works and Highways and its contractors who have and are willing and able to respond immediately.
He also expressed gratitude to the Department of Education for the use of their schoolbuildings as temporary evacuation centers
