THE sought-after sugar-free desserts place uptown has opened a branch in downtown Cagayan de Oro to cater closer to its patrons in this part of the city.
MaQueen’s opened its second outlet at G/L Cagayan Town Center, Luna corner Vicente Roa streets, this city last December 8.
MaQueen’s offers deliciously low carb, sugar-free and gluten-free treats such as cakes (chocolate moist, baked cheesecake, triple chocolate mousse, strawberry shortcake, mocha walnut cake, guilt-free ube cake, black forest cake, red velvet, caramel almond cake, four season, brazo de mercedez); guilt-free sweets (almond loaf, cheesy ensaymada, brownies, ube cheese pandesal, Korean creamcheese buns, macaroni salad); ice cream in low carb and keto (coffee, ube, strawberry, dark choco); and guilt-free cookies (dark choco, red velvet, matcha, vanilla).
But wait there’s more! MaQueen’s at CTC has a spacious dining area that also offers low carb meals such as beef (roast beef, beef bulgogi, Spanish lengua, beef moussaka); chicken (Mongolian, garlic parmesan wings, sweet & spicy wings, barbeque wings); pork (pork ribs, crispy pork kare-kare, crispy kawali, Chinese humba); and fish (grilled tuna belly, baked salmon, Italian fillet).
They also have pizza, salads (Caesar salad, signature salad); sandwiches (ham & bacon sandwich, spam & nori sandwich, creamy tuna sandwich, MaQueen’s beefy burger, chicken fajita subway sandwich, roast beef subway sandwich); and pasta which is available in either regular or low carb (traditional carbonara, chicken pesto, royal white spaghetti and spicy tuna).
The wide variety of their dishes is a testament to chef Ryan Maquidato’s experience as a Royal Carribean cruise chef for five years and a witness to his father’s dependence on insulin which inspired him to create sugar-free yet delicious treats.
MaQueen’s first outlet is located at Suite 105, Primavera Tower B, Trade St., Pueblo Business Park. For orders in either branch, hit Maxim or Grab. MaQueen’s – guilt-free in every bite indeed!
