KLAREX: WATER SERVICE WILL CONTINUE AFTER APRIL 12. Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy assured the public that water service will continue after the April 12 deadline given by Cagayan de Oro Bulk Water Inc. (COBI) to the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) to settle their collectibles worth P426 million.

During his program ‘Ang Inyong Alagad: Mayor Klarex Uy’, Mayor Klarex said he met with the Task Force on Water Supply and Distribution along with representatives of bulk water supplier Rio Verde Water Consortium Inc. to discuss plans to supply water directly to the city’s households should COBI continue with its disconnection of service to COWD after April 12.

Mayor Klarex also said he asked the 20th City Council to hold a special session on Monday, April 8, to pass a resolution of no objection authorizing an emergency purchase order for bulk water supply from Rio Verde.
