Congressman Bambi Emano of Misamis Oriental's 2nd District, enthusiastically announces the planned conversion of the Laguindingan Airport into an international gateway.

Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, September 30, 2024_"Laguindingan airport will be an international facility soon," said Congressman Yevgeny Vincente "Bambi" Emano as he confirmed that a private company will undertake the construction and conversion of the airport into a a global hub.

Rep. Emano added that as early as April next year, the airport will be turned over to the Abootiz group for the ambitious but doable project of upgrading it to accommodate international flights. Cong. Bambi stated that the venture will be fully realized by the year 2027.

He also disclosed that government agencies like the Bureau of Customs, the Bureau of Immigration and the Bureau of Quarantine can then operate at the new Laguindingan International Airport.

He also appealed to the business sector to fully support the project as he hoped for economic gains and employment.

Rep. Emano announced this in a press conference during the inauguration of the Laguindingan Airport Passenger Terminal Building Monday.
