CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- The Regional Special Operation Unit 10 (RSOU10) successfully apprehended a security guard in a recent entrapment operation on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at P.N Roa St., Zone 1, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. Personnel from the RSOU 10 conducted an entrapment operation targeting an individual who is currently at large. Accordingly, they had a transaction with the at-large suspect involving a Caliber .45 pistol worth PhP17,000.00 which was facilitated through the involvement of a security guard. The security guard has been apprehended and is now under the custodial facility for proper disposition. However, the at-large suspect managed to evade arrest, and the police are actively pursuing his whereabouts.

Recovered during the operation were one unit of a Caliber .45 pistol, a 1911 model with serial number 327318, six live ammunitions, and two steel magazines. PBGen Ricardo G Layug Jr., Acting Regional Director of PRO10, emphasized that this arrest underscores the commitment of PRO10 to ensuring the safety and security of the community. "Any form of illegal firearms activities, may it be selling, carrying, or more, is a violation under R.A 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. I want to reiterate that PRO10 will never waver in its law enforcement operations and go after those criminals who violate our law.
