CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully apprehended a drug suspect on February 27, 2024, during the implementation of a Search Warrant for Violation of R.A. No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, at Zone 10, Brgy. Molugan, El Salvador City.
The suspect, a 27-year-old male, single, and resident of the aforementioned place, is already suspected of disposing illegal drugs since he was under surveillance by intel operatives.
Information disclosed by the arrested suspect himself reveals that his drugs are sourced from a specific jeepney driver operating in Brgy. Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City.
Seized during the operation include six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing more or less 7 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP47,600.00, four empty transparent cellophane, eight aluminum foil strip, one disposable lighter, and two small plastic containers.
The arrested suspect is now under the custody of El Salvador City Police Station, Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office, for proper disposition.
PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG JR, Regional Director, PRO10, commends the diligent efforts of the operating unit in the successful apprehension of a drug suspect during the Search Warrant Operation.
“Our commitment to combatting illegal drug activities in the region remains constant. We are non-stop, and we are intensifying our proactive measures to put drug peddlers behind bars.
