Tabac Unfazed By City Council Deferment Of His Assumption As ABC Prexy

July 7, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_Gusa Punong Barangay Marlo Tabac said that he is not hurt by the City Council's deferment Monday of his installation as sectoral representative for the local Association of Barangay Councils (ABC).

Tabac, former Executive Vice President of the local Liga, was earlier sworn in as the new ABC president by Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy after succeeding councilor elect Yan Lam "Alam" Lim who was then ABC president. Tabac showed to the local legislatve body a certificate of conf

irmation by the National Liga Ng Mga Barangay recognizing him as the village chieftains' leader of the city.

The beleaguered but unbowed Kapitan Tabac added that if summoned to next week's session, he will attend as ABC head in the 21st City Council. But Tabac was quick to say that if he is forced to work in a hostile situation, he will resign as local ABC president.
