Tabac: "Rainbow Is My Color"

June 30, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_"As newly sworn Association of Barangay Councils President, my color is the rainbow", thus declared Gusa Punong Barangay Marlo Tabac.

"As Barangay officials and as mandated by the local government code, we, village chiefs, are supposed to be apolitical and not be tied to political parties and their associated colors"said Tabac.

"That is why when we ran as Barangay officials, we did not wear political colors, whether green, violet nor yellow. When we attend national Liga events, we sometimes have senators or politicians who sponsor our meals but we don't owe them anything because we approach them as a group without colors", added Tabac.

Tabac, erstwhile Executive Vice President Of CdeO's Liga, took his oath of office as Cagayan de Oro ABC president as successor to City Councilor elect and former local Liga head Yan Lam "Alam" Lim who assumed office as city legislator. Tabac will sit in the city's 21st Sangguniang Panglungsod as Ex-officio City Councilor, being a sectoral representative.
