SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DEPT TO CENTRALIZE CITY HALL’S WASTE COLLECTION EFFORTS’

CREATING a Solid Waste Management Department will help centralize City Hall’s focus and efforts in resolving Cagayan de Oro City’s garbage problem, the City Council’s environment committee chairman said.

In his special report, Councilor and main proponent Enrico Salcedo said this proposed department will unburden the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) which is occupied with many responsibilities.
