August 22,2025, Cagayan de Oro City_The waiting time is almost over for a thousand and five hundred Typhoon Sendong survivors who have been relocated in individual lots at Habitat For Humanity Phase 3 in Calaanan for the past thirteen years.

Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy Friday signed Deeds of Absolute Sale for twenty beneficiaries who have fully paid for their lots, assisted by Councilor Al Legaspi Sr., Chairman of the Urban Poor Committee and John Asuncion, acting department manager of the City Housing and Urban Development (CHUDD) office.

Asuncion told the beneficiaries that these documents are being readied for the 1,500 relocatees but these are, as of now, registered under the city government. He added that these lots will be titled to the beneficiaries only when they have fully paid for their individual lots for only 6,400 pesos each.
Mayor Klarex admonished the fully - paid lot owners and future property holders not to sell their assigned lots as this condition is clearly stated in their lot titles.

"Sa una nagreklamo pa mi kay layo pero nalipay namo karon, timan-i ninyo nga ang programa sa gobyerno dili makadaot," added the local chief executive.
