Oca To Build Schools For Special Children

April 9, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_In Wednesday's Pakighinabi session with educators, Attorney Oscar Moreno pledged to address the need to establish schools for special children once he is elected back as city mayor in this year's midterm polls.

Acknowledging the urgency of giving priority to this almost neglected sector, Moreno noted the difficulties being experienced by families with children who have special needs. Moreno said that physical, emotional, and financial challenges faced by parents of special children cannot be ignored nor shelved as he emphasized that education is a constitutional right.

Educators and school owners actively participate in Wednesday's Pakighinabi session and voiced their concerns to comebacking City Mayor Oscar Moreno.

Also sharing their insights during the Pakighinabi interaction forum at the Little Me Academy at Barangay Consolacion were educator and school owner Ike Olandesca, Ms. Jasmin Borja and Doctor Jesus Jardin of the city's 2nd district who are seeking election as city councilors. Incumbent and reelectionist kagawad of the 1st district Imee Moreno also shared her insights.
