Mayor Klarex Uy Launches CdeO's Higalaay Festival

, Cagayan de Oro City_A massive and excited crowd gathered Friday night at the Rio de Oro Boulevard to witness the launching of the almost month-long Higalaay Festival in honor of the city's patron, Saint Augustine.

In welcoming Kagay-anons and guests alike, and launching the 27 core and parallel events, Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy exhorted all involved to continue praying and hoping for stability and peace in the city of Golden friendship.

While noting the resiliency of the city through its 75 years of existence , Mayor Uy expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders from the private and public sectors who contributed to the development and economic progress of Cagayan de Oro.
