Mayor Klarex To Give Free Meds To Senior Citizens Soon

September 5, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_Senior citizens suffering from diabetes and hypertension can soon breathe easy with the planned free medication courtesy of Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy's RISE MED program.

In coordination with the City Health and Health Insurance Offices, CdeO's elderly folks can avail of free maintenance medicine to be coursed through the city's barangay health centers.

Dr. Rachel Daba Dilla, City Health Officer, confirmed that this program, as ordered by Mayor Klarex, will be implemented throughout the whole month of September after a coordinated profiling by both the City Health Office and Barangay health centers. She said that senior citizens can obtain free oral medicine and even injectable insulin and that there will be free delivery of medicine, right at their doorsteps, for elderly folks who have walking disabilities.
