Laguindingan Airport employee from Misamis Oriental has been recognized for his honesty after he returned a lost bag containing P59,684 in cash, along with personal items and important documents. The bag was discovered by Nader Talib, a ground maintenance worker, during a routine inspection in the airport’s arrival area. Bea Bernardo, Information Officer for the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), confirmed that Talib found the unattended bag and promptly reported it to the CAAP’s service and intelligence unit, which then coordinated with the airport’s security team. Upon inspection, authorities verified the bag’s contents, which included cash and various documents. They successfully traced the owner, who had arrived on a flight from Manila.
Talib's swift actions and integrity have earned him commendation from airport officials and the CAAP, highlighting the importance of trust and professionalism in public service.
