Juliette Uy Takes Oath As Misamis Oriental Governor

June 29, 2025, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental _ Governor elect Juliette Uy Friday took her oath of Office before Associate Justice Richard Mordeno in her hometown of Villanueva where she once served as three-term mayor.

Accompanied by her husband, Attorney Julio and daughter, incumbent Villanueva Chief Executive Jennie Uy Mendez, incoming Governor Juliette pledged to institute livelihood opportunities for small business owners and fisher folk. She added that her administration will improve agricultural and infrastructural projects.
"Wala'y pili, bisan kinsa makadool kanato Para matabangan, kay ang kwarta sa kapitolyo dili kana iyaha sa gobernador, mga mayor ug ubang mga opisyales kin dili sa katawhan," (No discrimination, everyone is welcome to seek our help because the funds of the Capitol are not owned by the governor, the. Mayors or other officials but belongs to the people of our beloved province), said Governor elect Juliette Uy in her message after oath-taking rites.
Attorney Julio Uy also took his oath of Office as Villanueva mayor before incumbent local chief executive Jennie Uy Mendez, along with other duly elected officials of Team Unity which included Mayors elect Danilo Lagbas, Jr. of Kinoguitan, and Chiz Lagbas of Sugbongcogon, among others.
