Misamis Oriental Governor Juliette Uy Wednesday met with miners from both the 1st and 2nd districts of the province and addressed their issues and concerns.
Emmanuel Vacalares, Jr., President of the Association of Reponsible Miners of Misamis Oriental, said that the forum served as an avenue for them to seek solutions in running their businesses.

Vacalares aired their problems which included the costs of loads, illegal miners who profit most and the high toll fees.

In response, Governor Uy ordered the posting of notices along Provincial roads that abolished toll fees and providing regulations for toll fees along private roads.
Vacalares expressed the gratitude of their group to Governor Juliette Uy for the speedy resolution to their concerns.
Present during the forum were Board members Princess Emano, Rommel Maslog, Bliss Francis Acain and Jabi Bernaldez.
