Gingoog Fiscal Dismisses Oral Defamation Case VS. Gov. Juliette Uy

Sept 26,2025, Gingoog City:_The Oral Defamation Case filed by former Mis. Or. Governor Peter M. Unabia against incumbent Governor Juliette Uy has been dismissed by this city's prosecutor.

In a resolution dated September 2, 2025, City Prosecutor Rodolfo Alegado, Jr. resolved that the complaint is dismissed due to insufficiency of evidence.

Alegado further resolved that after an expedited preliminary investigation, his office cannot sustain nor find a prima face evidence considering that a controverting evidence presented by respondent Juliette Uy showed that the lovely wife referred to by former Governor Unabia, in a speech recorded in two USB flash drives offered by Unabia's camp, is not Erlinda S. Unabia but a certain Dumadag.
