Donsals: Unabia Doesn't Mix Business And Politics

April 1,2025, Laguindingan,Misamis Oriental_"It's not true that Governor Peter Unabia is using politics to expand his business interests," thus declared mayoralty candidate Donald Rey "Donsals" Ellarina in an exclusive interview with the Mindanao Reporter Tuesday.

Ellarina said that with Unabia's nationwide and diversified enterprises, the Governor is Donsals' inspiration and role model when it comes to public service.

"Unlike other politicians who use their positions for their self aggrandisement, Unabia was already a successful businessman before he joined politics. This trait of Unabia is worth emulating, and I intend to replicate this and truly serve the public without reservations nor vested interests, "added Ellarina.

"I am witness to the hardships of our fellow Laguindinganons, and in running for municipal mayor, I will strive to reduce the poverty index in my hometown," said Donsals.

" I aim to economically uplift our constituents by inviting investors for job opportunities and subsequent allied businesses with the imminent expansion of the Laguindingan Airport.

"I will support the tourism sector of our town and and I will ensure a peaceful environment that is conducive to investments that will bring employment," disclosed Ellarina.

Among Donsals' platforms, when elected as Laguindingan mayor, are good governance through transparency and accountability and sustainable peace and order.

Donsals is prioritizing importance to and action for senior citizens and persons with disabilities who direly need medicine, financial assistance, and more.

Ellarina also wants to upgrade their health center with additional equipment like an x-ray machine, blood labo

ratory, and other medical apparatus.
