COWD IGM Jarales Issues Statement On 8-Seconder CCTV Video

April 28, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_In a statement posted online, Interim General Manager Fermin Jarales insists that his group's alleged forcible entry into the Cagayan de Oro Water District's Main Office was pursuant to his (Jarales') and the Local Water Utilities Administration's shared legal responsibilities in securing vital local documents. Jarales stated that these documents are related to the ongoing criminal and administrative cases filed by Jarales and LWUA against Acting General Manager Edna Najeal, et al, and for transacting with banks, paying suppliers and releasing employees's salaries.

Jarales alleged that Najeal and company obstructed Jarales' entry and that a recent court judgement replacing Jarales in the COWD management is not yet final and enforceable.

Jarales said that he and the Interim Board of Directors are committed to transparency and will soon be issuing a detailed context after determining the authenticity of the 8-seconder CCTV footage.
