Consultative Meeting for Establishment of Super Health Centers in CDO

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Department of Health (DOH) Region 10, under the leadership of Regional Director Dr. Sulpicio Henry Legaspi Jr., conducted a consultative meeting on the establishment of the Bagong Pilipinas Super Health Centers in various barangays across the city.

The meeting, aimed at discussing the progress of the health centers’ construction, was attended by representatives from the office of Congressman Rufus Rodriguez, along with barangay captains from several local communities. Notable attendees included Kap. Malou Aldeguer of Barangay Cugman, Kap. Marlon Tabac of Brgy. Gusa, Kap. Marlon Bonggay of Brgy. Indahag, Kap. Saniel Raypon of Brgy. Macabalan, Kap. Lolita Wahing of Brgy. Puerto, Kap. Julito Ogsimer of Barangay Lapasan, Kap. Jao Gumapac of Brgy. Baikingon, and Kap. Achilles Babaran.

The health centers set to be established in the city’s second district include:

• Cugman Bagong Pilipinas Health Center – P12 million

• Gusa Bagong Pilipinas Health Center – P12 million

• Indahag Bagong Pilipinas Health Center – P12 million

• Macabalan Bagong Pilipinas Health Center – P12 million

• Puerto Bagong Pilipinas Health Center – P12 million

• Taguanao Bagong Pilipinas Health Center – P12 million

• Lapasan (Santo Niño) Bagong Pilipinas Health Center – P12 million

• Barangay 31 Health Center Repair/Renovation – P10 million

Congressman Rufus Rodriguez, alongside DOH 10, encouraged the barangay captains to ensure the necessary compliance and preparations so that the construction of these health centers could begin promptly.

A total of P94 million has been allocated for the project, which Congressman Rodriguez successfully secured from the national budget to benefit the residents of Cagayan de Oro. Each health center will be equipped with modern facilities, including dental and pharmacy services, labor and delivery rooms, minor operating rooms, and more.

Congressman Rodriguez expressed his gratitude to DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa, DOH 10 Regional Director Dr. Sulpico Legaspi, Assistant Regional Director Dr. Ellenieta Gamolo, and DOH 10 Infrastructure Unit Head Engr. Eliezer Mallorca for their relentless efforts in ensuring the successful implementation of this project for the welfare of the people of Cagayan de Oro.
