Congressman Lordan Suan Pushes Top Priority Bills In 20th Congress

August 11, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_1st District Congressman Attorney Lordan Suan has submitted his top priority bills to the 20th Congress.

Among Representative Suan's bills are Acts creating the Department of Water Resources, defining its powers and functions, providing for the Magna Carts for Out-of

School Youth and the establishment of a campus of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Barangay Lumbia, this city.

Suan also prioritized a bill that prohibits the operation of fast-paced online specialty forms of gambling and providing corresponding penalties.

The working Congressman is also pushing for an amendment of Republic Act 7422, wherein senior citizens, even those without GSIS or SSS memberships, will be given a universal social pension. Photo from Congressman Lordan Suan FB page.
