  City Veterinarian Dr. Helen Ann Tacandong explained that she met with the complainant and apologized on behalf of the City Vet after it was found that the complaint was submitted in 2023 but had not been addressed promptly. To resolve the matter, a backhoe was used by the City Vet to cover the pit where stray dogs they had caught were buried, ensuring that it was properly sealed to prevent any foul odor, which had been the source of complaints from the residents of the barangay. Dr. Tacandong also mentioned that the City Vet will no longer bury animals at this location and has sought assistance from the Clenro and City Engineering Office to find a new site for animal burials.
