The Chinese New Year Working Committee of Cagayan de Oro City Hall, in collaboration with the Oro - Trade and Investment Promotions Center (Oro-TIPC), hosted its inaugural culinary event, ‘Wok of Fortune,’ at the Limketkai West Event Center on Sunday afternoon, February 2. The event showcased traditional Chinese dishes, all prepared using the wok, a deep, round-bottomed pan integral to Chinese cooking. Featured dishes included Prawn Vegetable Cake, Spicy Squid, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Imported Abalone, which were sampled by attendees. The dishes were skillfully prepared by chefs Ruben Remedios and Donal Constancio Jr. of Limketkai Luxe Hotel, along with Shen Chen Chang, a chef from David’s Tea House.
