CdeO's 1st Engineering District Acts On Dansolihon Landslides

October 27, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City_In less than an hour after two powerful "buhawi" Sunday caused two landslides in Barangay Dansolihon, the 1st Engineering District of Cagayan de Oro of the DPWH, personally supervised by District Engineer Ana Lee Manzano, started the clearing of two landslide affected areas of the bypass road leading to the municipality of Talakag, Bukidnon particularly in Sitio Mangalay in Barangay Dansolihon.

In an interview with Brigada News, Engineer Manzano disclosed that the landslides, measuring lengths of more or less 5 meters and heights of 2 to 3 meters, covered two areas in the said highway.

Manzano assured the motoring public and residents that in a week's time, the bypass road would be passable again. She acknowledged the full support of DPWH-10 Regional Director Lilibeth Aparecio, who immediately dispatched heavy equipment and crews to expedite the clearing of the landslide-hit area. She likewise thanked the local government unit of the city and nearby residents who voluntarily assisted in guiding traffic flow and removal of fallen trees and vegetation.
