CdeO Disaster Risk Department Activates Incident Management Team For Higalaay Festival

The City's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CDRRM) Department is set to endorse to Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy its recommendation to activate its Incident Management Team for the month-long Higalaay Festival.

CDRRM Department Head Nick Habagat spearheaded a coordination meeting Friday with officials and representatives of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, Cagayan de Oro Police Office, Philippine Coast Guard, Task Force Oro, City Health Office, City Engineering Office, City Information Office, City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Public Services Office, City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, J R Borja General Hospital and the Roads and Traffic Administration.

CDRRMO Chief Habagat emphasized the importance of the Incident Management Team to ensure the orderliness of the activities scheduled for the city fiesta celebration along with security, health and traffic concerns. (AGP, Photos by Kim Zaldivar, CIO)
