On February 1, 2025, the 4th Field Artillery Battalion (Strike From Afar), along with its Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Batteries, executed a series of civic action activities across their operational areas, providing support to 800 residents in the communities they serve.
The initiative offered a range of services, including clean-up campaigns, feeding programs, free eye exams, distribution of reading glasses, slippers, vitamins, school supplies, and tree planting activities, as well as free obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) consultations. These actions reflect the battalion's strong commitment to community service and social responsibility.
Each of the battalion's units organized events in different locations. The Headquarters Battery conducted its program at Purok 2-B Chapel in Barangay Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City, where residents benefited from feeding programs, eye check-ups, and the distribution of reading glasses, slippers, and vitamins. Alpha Battery held its activities in Barangay Bulonay, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, providing free OB-GYN check-ups along with a feeding program.
The Bravo Battery hosted several initiatives in different locations, including clean-up drives in Barangay Bancasi, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, and Barangay Bulahan, Claveria, Misamis Oriental. They also organized tree planting in Barangay Lunotan, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental. Meanwhile, the Charlie Battery conducted a clean-up drive in Barangay Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. The success of these events was due to the collaboration of partners, including Task Force-Oro, various military units, and local organizations such as the Cagayan de Oro Eagles Club and Soriano Philippines Community Health Foundation. This collective effort highlighted the strong teamwork that made a meaningful impact on the local communities.
