PIA CAMIGUIN: During the PPOC, PADAC, PDRRMC, PTF-COVID-19, PTF-ELCAC, LCPC, LCAT-VAWC, and LPCC joint meeting, March 10, PNP Camiguin reported a decrease of crimes, January 1-March 10, 2023, with 18 crimes, as compared to 2022 with 24. For the comparative 8-focus crimes, CAM PPO recorded cases on rape, robbery, and theft. Two cases of physical injury were also recorded in the province, particularly in Mahinog and Mambajao. To optimize tourist protection, the office develops the "Bantay Turista System," which will also provide a virtual assistance desk for feedback mechanism for tourists.
