THE local government unit of Salay in Misamis Oriental headed by Mayor Angelo “Jun” Capistrano Jr. recently led the inauguration of Matampa Eco-Tourism Park, its newest tourist attraction located in Brgy Matampa right near the enchanting Matampa Pines. Entrance fee is P200 (adult), P10 (children) and free for kids five years old and below.
The project turnover is just the initial phase for several associated tourism projects in the municipality. Tourist activities have increased in the municipality ever since photos of Matampa Pines went viral in Facebook in 2020.
