LOOK || The 58th Infantry "Dimalulupig" Battalion took part in the 2nd Round Peace and Order Forum in line with the current programs of “Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo” (KKDT), incorporated by the PNP “KASIMBAYANAN” and “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” (BIDA). Integrated Territorial Defense System (ITDS)/ Barangay Police Action Teams (BPATs) awareness and assessment among the 18 Brgys of the municipality of Talisayan held at the Evacuation Center La Verdad, Poblacion, Talisayan, Misamis Oriental on February 14, 2023.
This activity aims to raise awareness against insurgency, reduce drug demand, and abolish the proliferation of illegal drugs in the community in a collaborative approach. The 58IB and PNP continue to intensify its campaigns against insurgency and the war against drugs within the framework of the law and respect for human rights. The current threat situation and threat assessment update, counterinsurgency concept utilizing the Brgy approach, and the effects and consequences of teenage pregnancy were also discussed.
This activity was initiated by PNP, PRO 10, led by Police Lt. Col. Edwin S Gonzalo, DPDA, Police Lt. Teddy V Macarayo, the Deputy COP Talisayan. Hon Rico Taray, Municipal Mayor, Pastor Joey Pasquito, Police Capt. Larsam H Radjilul, 1001st MC RMFB 10, Hon North P Maceda, Municipal SK Federation President, Hon Gremer O Ramoga, Municipal Peace and Order, Mr Rodel Balangiao, Provincial POC Consultant, Ms Ritzy D Mutya, PHD School Principal, Atty L Asuga, Regional Director NAPAOLCOM 10, Rodel Balangiao, Provincial Peace and Order Consultant, Dr Gay Ardanas, Municipal Health, Kevin L Ladrido, PDEA Mis Or, Ms Stephanie G Arcenal, MLGOO and BPATs from the 18 barangays were also present.
