DAR distributes 446 land titles to MisOcc farmers

MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL (PIA)--Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III has personally distributed 252 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) with an area of 220.1762 hectares to 234 ARBs and 194 electronic land titles (e-titles) with a total area of 154.8366 hectares to 196 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) under the agency’s Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project in the province of Misamis Occidental, May 4, 2023, at Mindanao Civic Center, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

"Inutusan ako ng ating Pangulong Ferdinand 'BongBong' Marcos na pumunta sa Region 10 upang iparating sa inyo na kami po ay handang tumulong. Marami pa po tayong ipapamahaging support services projects sa mga agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations dito sa Region 10 at sa buong bansa," Estrella said.

(Our President Ferdinand "BongBong" Marcos ordered me to go to Region 10 to convey to you that we are ready to help. We will distribute many more support services projects to the agrarian reform beneficiary organizations here in Region 10 and throughout the country)

Meanwhile, aside from land title, Estrella also said DAR is ready to grant scholarships to farmers or farmers' children as well as health services in times of sickness.

"Ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) ay kaagapay ng DAR upang tumulong sa mga ARBs na makapag enroll sa Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) scholarship program," he said.

He also reminded the ARBs to make their lands productive and assured them of the agency’s continuing support, noting that the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is prioritizing programs and services for the farmers.

"Huwag po ninyo ibebenta ang lupang ibinigay sainyo ng gobyerno. Magtanim kayo. Pakainin natin ang mga kababayan natin. 'Wag kayong bibitiw dahil hindi namin kayo pababayaan, sigurado po iyan. Mahal kayo ng ating Pangulong Bongbong Marcos," he added.

(Do not sell the land given to you by the government. Plant yourself. Let’s feed our countrymen. Don’t give up because we won’t let you down, that’s for sure. Our President BongBong Marcos loves you)

Marcos signed Executive Order No. 4, September 13, 2022, declaring a moratorium on the payment of principal obligations and interest on amortization due and payable by the ARBs who received agricultural lands under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
